Charter Night

January 24, 2009

On January 24, 2009 the members of the South Meriden Lions Club had the honor of being sworn in as Charter Members, as well as receiving and signing the official Charter.

The event took place at il Monticello in Meriden. Thanks to the decorating committee, the dining room looked exceptionally beautiful.

Many fellow Lions, family and friends were in attendance and took part in this very special night. A ceremony was held to swear in Charter Members and Officers of the club. All Members who were in attendance received official Lions Club pins, as well as a Charter Member certificate and new member packets.

Members had the opportunity to sign the Charter and become part of history. There will be another  ceremony for those Charter Members who were not able to make it to the dinner. They will have an opportunity to sign the Charter as well.

On the left are some pictures that were taken of Charter Night. I know there are more pictures, so as soon as I get them I will add them.

Thank you to everyone who came. It was because of all who attended and participated that the South Meriden Lions Club Charter Night was a great success!
